The Best Investment!

2 cups of flour. a cup of salt, 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar, some oil, some water and a few drops of food colouring, stirred all together for a few minutes on the stove and you have made one of the best things a three year old could wish for! Good for the imagination, and creativity.....not so good for the matchbox cars that get driven through it though! The joys of play dough! (I will have to have a major clean-up after he goes, we have blue spots from one end of the house to the other! All in the name of little boy fun, so well worth it)
Still having fun with my grandson, and in between a little bear-making is also getting done.

  1. Hi Linda, What a precious picture you posted of your grandson. I have only passed the play dough
age with my grandchildren about 3 years ago. I well remember the bits of colour you find every where; even in the carpet.
I think it's the time we spend with them, with the play dough that is special as well.
    Happy Bear making in 2012.

  2. Happy new year, Linda.
funny that i was guessing what sort of treats until you told us is play dough. they are interesting medium which encourage children to explore and understanding of daily life object and 3D sense.
at our place, light clay and resin clay are popular if people like doing miniature, recently, my younger one starting using resin clay for they are much more durable and sometimes, he satisfied with the original form without any color.
enjoy your days with your grandson.
    hugs, susana

  3. Hi linda,

I wish you a happy new year. What a nice grandson you have!!! Enjoy the days with him, they grew quickly older...

    Hugs, Claudia

  4. Happy New Year Linda!

I'm still waiting for my sons to produce grandchildren for me. If they keep me waiting much longer, I'll need to borrow someone else's. :)

My elder son is getting married in June, so I haven't given up hope yet.

  5. Oh my goodness Linda... Look at Tobias -- he's all grown up!!! Enjoy enjoy enjoy, these are special times!!! Love Josey xx
